The Great Litany is one of the signature prayers of our Anglican Patrimony. It was typically prayed on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and during penitential times. There is a long-standing custom in many parishes in the Anglican Patrimony to begin each penitential season by having the entire community pray the Litany in procession together at the beginning of Mass. We will do this at the 10:30 Solemn Mass on the First Sunday of Advent (November 29).
